Air touch technology in our showroom

Air touch is a coloring technique based on a cold stream of air. The hairdresser takes a single strand of hair and blows it through with a hairdryer—short, young hairs fall out, leaving only the longer ones. A lightening agent is applied to these hairs, starting 3–5 cm from the roots. The result? Color that looks like natural highlights—without artificial transitions or visible edges.

It’s the separation of short hairs from long ones that defines this method. Without this step, the result would be similar to classic streaks. Therefore, air touch coloring requires time, precision, and experience—it can’t be done at home.

This technique works well on a variety of hair lengths and textures. Blondes typically choose honey and copper shades, brunettes prefer caramel and hazelnut, and flaxen hair requires two or three shades of lightening. Shades are selected during a consultation before any application begins.

The price of air touch depends on the length and density of your hair, as well as the number of strands. The treatment is time-consuming, so the cost reflects the actual time spent, not just the number of products. Looking for air touch in Warsaw? Stop by the salon – we’ll assess your hair, select the appropriate technique, and discuss all the details, including the cost of the treatment.

Contraindications include severely damaged or excessively porous hair. In such cases, we recommend first rebuilding and strengthening the hair structure— this is a condition for a good and lasting coloring effect.

After the treatment, many clients decide to evens out and closes the shade, which enhances shine and evens out the result. If you are considering other coloring methods, it is worth familiarizing yourself with full dyeing offer available in the salon.

What does a visit look like step by step?

01
Consultation and shade selection

We assess the condition of the hair, its base color, and structure. We determine the shades and scope of the treatment—how many strands, from what height, and what the desired final result is.

02
Dividing hair into strands

Divide the hair into sections and strands up to 1 cm wide. Start at the back of the head and work systematically upwards.

03
Blowing and selecting hairs

We blow each strand with a cold stream of the hairdryer. Short hairs fall out, leaving only the longer ones on the foil, which will be lightened.

04
Application of the brightening preparation

Apply the product to selected strands, maintaining a distance of 3–5 cm from the roots. The exposure time is adjusted to the initial color and desired effect.

05
Inspect and rinse

We monitor the process on each strand. Once the desired tone is achieved, we rinse the product off and evaluate the results.

06
Care and styling

We apply a regenerating mask, dry and style our hair. We discuss home care—what products to use to ensure your color lasts as long as possible.

Heterogeneous strands optically thicken and revitalize the hair.

  • A treatment safe for the hair structure

The dye does not touch the roots – most of the hair remains uncolored.

FAQ

  • How does this technique differ from classic highlights?

With Air Touch, the dryer separates short hairs from long ones before applying the color. This creates a softer and more natural result than with traditional strands.

  • How much does air touch cost in PIED-DE-POULE?

Airtouch pricing depends on hair length, density, and the scope of the treatment. Contact us before your appointment—we’ll provide a personalized, no-obligation quote.

  • How long does the effect last?

With proper care, the color stays fresh for over six months. Regrowth isn’t visible like with traditional dyeing—the hair looks natural throughout the growing process.

  • Is the method suitable for dark hair?

Yes, but with a very dark base, the lightening effect may be more subtle. During the consultation, we will determine what result can be safely achieved.

  • How to care for your hair after air touch?

We recommend shampoos and masks for color-treated or bleached hair, regularly moisturizing the ends, and avoiding frequent washing. We discuss detailed recommendations after each treatment.
