Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a needle-free treatment designed to deliver hyaluronic acid, vitamins and peptides to the skin without injections. The cosmetologist applies a skincare cocktail to the face, while a device helps deliver it through the epidermis using electrical current or ultrasound. It is suitable when the skin feels tight immediately after cleansing, moisturiser no longer lasts throughout the day, and dry lines appear around the eyes in the morning and collect makeup. Mesotherapy in Warsaw is available as part of the PIED-DE-POULE cosmetology treatment range.

Mesotherapy — What Is It and How Does It Work?

Cream remains on the surface of the epidermis, with only a fraction of its ingredients penetrating deeper. This needle-free form of mesotherapy helps bypass this barrier: the device temporarily loosens the connections between cells, allowing hyaluronic acid, vitamins and peptides to reach the layers where they can work. No needle is required, so there are no injection marks on the face after the appointment.

Skin cleansed immediately before the treatment absorbs the cocktail more readily, which is why ultrasonic facial cleansing is often performed during the same appointment as a preparation stage.

Mesotherapy for the Face — What Does the Treatment Involve?

The device helps deliver the cocktail through the epidermis using electroporation current or ultrasonic waves — the cosmetologist selects the appropriate technology. You may feel a slight tingling sensation and the coolness of the applicator, and sometimes a metallic taste in your mouth when electrical current is used.

Another aspect decided during the appointment is the treatment area: the face alone, or the face together with the neck, décolletage and hands — areas where the skin tends to lose firmness most quickly. The full treatment finishes with a skincare mask to help maintain hydration.

Who Is Mesotherapy Suitable For?

The main indications for the treatment are dehydrated skin and loss of firmness. In practice, this may include:

  • Working in air-conditioned environments or frequent flights that regularly dry out your skin
  • Your complexion has lost its even tone after summer and pigmentation has become more noticeable
  • The skin on your neck and décolletage looks older than the skin on your face
  • Needles are out of the question, but you still want deeper skin hydration
  • You have a wedding or photoshoot coming up and cannot afford to have bruising
  • Your moisturiser only seems to work for a couple of hours

For deeper wrinkles and noticeable loss of volume, the cosmetologist may recommend biorevitalisation, where the product is delivered beneath the skin.

Mesotherapy Results and When They Become Visible

  • Immediately after the treatment: the skin feels firmer and cool, and the complexion looks brighter
  • After a few days: the skin retains hydration for longer and makeup stops pilling
  • During the course: fine lines around the eyes appear smoother and the skin tone becomes more even
  • After the full course: the skin on the neck and décolletage feels firmer, with results lasting from several months to a year

Morning puffiness and a less defined facial contour are a separate concern. Facial massage can be incorporated into the plan between sessions to address them.

How Many Mesotherapy Treatments Are Needed?

A standard course consists of 5–10 sessions at intervals of 1–2 weeks. The cosmetologist determines the exact number after assessing your skin at the first appointment — a shorter course may be sufficient for dehydration alone, while loss of firmness may require the full course. HydraFacial provides deeper hydration combined with cleansing during a single appointment.

Mesotherapy Contraindications

We do not perform the treatment in cases of:

  • active skin inflammation or infections
  • fresh wounds or irritation in the treatment area
  • pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • a pacemaker or other active electronic implants
  • cancer
  • skin conditions affecting the planned treatment area

The cosmetologist conducts a consultation before the first session.

Mesotherapy Step by Step

01
Consultation and Cocktail Selection

The cosmetologist assesses hydration levels, checks dry areas and asks about a pacemaker, pregnancy, breastfeeding and chronic conditions. Based on this, they determine the product composition and treatment areas.

02
Makeup Removal and Skin Preparation

The cosmetologist removes makeup and performs gentle enzymatic exfoliation. A layer of dead skin cells would interfere with the penetration of the cocktail.

03
Product Application

The cosmetologist applies the contents of the ampoule to the face section by section and, for a wider treatment area, also to the neck, décolletage and hands. The ampoule is opened in front of you.

04
Delivery of Active Ingredients with the Applicator

The device is moved slowly along the skin's tension lines, section by section. You may feel tingling and coolness, and sometimes a metallic taste in your mouth — this is a normal response to the electrical current.

05
Mask and Finishing Care

A mask completes the treatment and helps maintain hydration, followed by an SPF cream. The skin feels cool and firm when you leave the salon.

06
Aftercare and Treatment Plan

The cosmetologist recommends avoiding the sauna, swimming pool and solarium for 2–3 days, as well as strong at-home peels for several days. The next appointment is also scheduled with an interval of 7–14 days.

Benefits of Mesotherapy

  • HYDRATED SKIN

Hyaluronic acid binds water in the epidermis, helping the skin feel less tight after cleansing and retain hydration throughout the day.

  • HEALTHY-LOOKING COMPLEXION

The cocktail helps oxygenate the skin and stimulate microcirculation, helping a dull, tired complexion regain a healthier colour

  • IMPROVED FIRMNESS

Active ingredients stimulate collagen and elastin production, making the skin on the neck and décolletage noticeably firmer.

  • STRONGER SKIN BARRIER

A well-nourished epidermis reacts less to cold weather, air conditioning and dry air, so irritation occurs less often.

FAQ

  • Does Mesotherapy Hurt?

No. You may feel tingling, the coolness of the applicator and sometimes a metallic taste in your mouth.

  • How Long Does a Mesotherapy Treatment Take?

The appointment includes a consultation, skin cleansing, treatment with the device and a mask. The cosmetologist will give you the exact duration when you book, as it depends on the number of treatment areas.

  • What Is the Difference Between Needle-Free and Injectable Mesotherapy?

The product passes through the epidermis rather than being injected beneath the skin — there are no punctures, bruises or need to take a day out of your routine. The change is gentler and builds gradually over a course of treatments.

  • Can Mesotherapy Be Performed on the Neck and Décolletage?

Yes, as well as on the hands. These areas tend to age faster than the face because moisturiser is applied to them less often.

  • How Many Treatments Are Needed Before Results Are Visible?

Hydration and a brighter complexion are visible after the first session, but last for several days. More lasting changes come from a course of 5–10 treatments at intervals of 1–2 weeks.

  • When Should Mesotherapy Not Be Performed?

The treatment should not be performed if you have a pacemaker or other active implants, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or in cases of cancer, active inflammation or fresh wounds. The cosmetologist checks these contraindications during the consultation before the first session.

  • Can Mesotherapy Be Performed in Summer?

Yes. The treatment does not make the skin as sensitive to sunlight as acids do — daily SPF is sufficient.

  • How Much Does Mesotherapy Cost?

The price depends on the number of treatment areas and the composition of the cocktail. The administrator will provide the current price and package conditions for the full course when you book.
